Cilfynydd Walk
A nice walk for doggies everywhere is one I did a while back with my daddy and big sister. We started at Ponty Common, walked up the left hand path through the ferns and then crossed the road by the PO box on our way uphill on the Eglwysilan road.
Once on the road watch out for cars or get your daddy to put you on a lead as sometimes sniffs and smells can distract you when vans and tractors are hurtling down the narrow lane.
Then, halfway up the road cut left and walk down the old farm lane towards Lloyds old farm buildings. You can cut through the farm, past the pond and head down into the ‘New Houses’ or cut down towards Oaklands.
This time we headed down to the old council houses and went through the back lanes of Wood St and Mary St before heading over to the Cwm for a paddle. Then we carried on up to Cilfynydd Common, down the hill, crossed the busy road by the cenotaph, used the footbridge by the school and then looped back along the Taff Trail.
Either way a nice day out for the humans, especially if they take their cameras 🙂
