Starting where we left off last time in the historic town of Monmouth we past the Robin Hood pub and crossed the bridge through the gatehouse. Through a hosting estate and soon we were back in the country as we climbed up to King’s Wood. We carry on past the site of Grace Dieu Abbey and head west. A few churches and farms and we soon see the Sugar Loaf and Skirrid in the distance. We descend through an orchard and into Llantilio Crossenny village. Eventually we reach the Warwick’s pub for a much needed drinkies.
