Hopkinstown Trail

My mammy often visits friends in the Rhondda and so when she does, daddy and me sometimes hitch a lift and get dropped off near the Rhondda Heritage Park in Trehafod. From there we can stroll down the road and join the Rhondda Fach Cycle Trail and walk into Barry Sidings Park. This is a lovely little walk, not too long either, and I can play with the ducks when no-one is looking, look out for squirrels, play with other dogs and go paddling.

Further on, the trail runs past a lovely little man-made waterfall, goes past Hopkinstown Cricket Club and eventually comes out of the trees in a housing estate just up from the rugby ground at Sardis Road.

From here I cross the road, go under the bridge and through Ponty Park before heading home.
